in it together invites the viewer to reflect on their position(s) within, and in relationship to, the natural environment and the context of current crises that challenge us daily. We are in a state of extreme climate change, and at the same time we are seeing the renewed rise of fascism around the world, senseless wars and even blatant genocide. We cannot escape, deny or ignore this rupturing of society; capitalism is collapsing and tech won't save us. We have to accept that this is where we are, and the only way out is to collectively work towards a solution. The installation is located on an island in a duck pond, and viewed from the bank. Nine steel mirrors are arranged to reflect the environment, three of them adorned with the text "Here was are in it together". The mirrors reflect the surrounding foliage, disappearing into nature, and the text appears to float in the air. Viewers glimpse themselves and others passing by in the depths of the island.
